12/1/08

I´m king of the world! I just hope I don´t miss the other end of the gorge. Yesterday we had 12 investigators at church. 12! The Cuyo´s and the Sanchez´s both came plus a whole bunch of others. There is this kid Jorge 3 (the 3 is because he´s the 3rd Jorge we´re teaching) who came 2 weeks ago because he has a friend that´s a member in another ward and wanted to see for himself. We gave him a Book of Mormon and he and his best friend are just about through 3rd Nephi right now. And his friend came yesterday too. They are just about ready for baptism. There is this older woman who is inactive and hasn´t come to church in over twenty years, Hna. Aguilar (Aguilar is eagle in Spanish so it´s really funny to call her Sister Eagle) and she brought one of her granddaughters that´s nine, not a member. Because they came we can start the process with the granddaughter and we found out she has 2 other grandchildren that are 8 and she wants them baptized. A girl that got baptized a month before I got here brought her boyfriend. And the woman that does our clothes brought her nephew. We were so blessed. Everybody stayed the whole block. Everybody made friends. Everybody made appointments to see us this week. The kids loved primary and the youth were made a part of young men´s and young women´s. And to top it off the Bishop´s wife probably made the best dinner I´ve ever had...in Paraguay . :) We´re going to put baptismal dates this week and pretty much we scheduled just about every free block we had for the entire week, yesterday. Life is SO GOOD.
With Mabel´s tooth, they just pulled it out. They´re doing so well right now. Ramón is a bit of a goofball but you can see the spirit working on him because he´s stopped goofing around about the gospel and he wants to be baptized. The whole family. We´ll work out the details this week. We´re looking at 13 of Dec. for them.
