Frank's Email 11/17/08
Tuesday night we get a call that there is a leadership meeting at the mission home for all ZL´s and DL´s. We have 2 districts in our zone and both DL´s are training, Wight and this guy Robertson. So they did splits so they could go to the meeting and it was me and Elder Lytle, one of my friends from the MTC, all day with no trainers. He came here the same day I did. At first it was a little on the scary side. But it just went great. For the morning we were in my area and after lunch we went to Lytle´s area. For both areas we picked up a member to help us and taught 3 lessons in each area. It went so well. The members helped us understand, they couldn´t translate into English but they could put it into words we could understand. We were able to teach, we were able to find all our appointments, it was awesome. I know I´m not "trained" yet but it definitely is a confidence booster.

good job frank! i kinda had a similar experience when i was in uruguay... i went on splits with the sister missionaries, but i was companions with the sister that didn't speak ANY english i basically know like 3 words in spanish, so it was challenging! ha ha! we'd sing together and then at the end of the lesson, she would look at me & i'd bare my {simple} testimony in spanish to them. i don't know how helpful i was, but it sure helped me out spiritually!
What a neat experience. We are so proud of you and happy that you are doing so well. we didn't doubt that you would be a great missionary for a minute, but it is fun to hear about your experiences and know how you are doing.
